Get to know Michelle

Michelle grew up learning about homesteading and self sufficient lifestyles from her family. They spent a lot of time gardening, foraging, hunting, fishing and preserving. In her free time she enjoyed a wide variety of outdoor activities.

As a teenager Michelle developed a passion for horses and focused on soaking up all of the knowledge and experience that she could. Her long term goal was to start her own homestead where she could grow and raise as much of her food as possible, with space to keep a few horses. 

She moved to Washington State after highschool, where she began training horses professionally, and hiking in the mountains in her free time.

Eventually she started started a family of her own, and decided it was time to get back to her roots, so she moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to family.

Now she is busy teaching her children all the skills she was taught as a child, as well as learning many new ones along the way. She still enjoys hiking, camping, and riding horses in her free time.
